Vernon, great effort 2 out of 6, with regard to the difference between Mk2 &3 only the early Mk2 ghia's had polished and painted finish from approx 1975 they were all silver as per Mk3. There was also another difference quite a large one.

1 Check recaros, Black dash, black centre console, fixed rear quarter windows? 2 Cameo, calypso, GT4, Cabaret 3 gkn...or was it Ronal, the manufacturer...ghia type wheels, later fitted to the err ghia. 4 They were chromed.....did they support keyless entry as well? Bugger, I have an early mk2 and I don't know! 5 Broadspeed, Lumo, Allard, Jeff Uren 6 M2 ghia used flat washer nuts Vs conical seat nuts for the Mk3. Mk2 ghia wheels had a fancy paint job plus polished areas v's plain silver for the mk3, mk2 ghias had a different centre cap/centre cap hole, while the centre caps themselves were made from unobtanium.
I'm going to strangle a chicken, take hulucinagenic drugs and consult with higher powers!
