Hi Mike, have you had the dash apart recently? Are both of the small lugs on the printed circuit actually in the recess to accept the bulb holder? Strangely my ignition light never worked for years and I put it down to an issue with the printed circuit however last year I swapped it with another car I had that was working put them both back together and they both worked!!!! I had previously removed my original several times so yet another of life's mysteries eh. RScapriman

When I checked the bulb it felt like the printed circuit was loose round the bulb holder as I only reached up under the dash.Is it a big job to remove the dash len.

Not especially remove Ash tray, open glove box, take of steering column shrouds to gain access to all screws holding lower dash is in place don't forget the ones below the dash ie along the lower edge below bonnet release just pull lower dash away carefully. Then 3 screws assuming all of the lugs are on the fascia after you have removed such luxuries as a radio fascia if fitted be aware of the spring clips at the top of the fascia again if still attached you will then have access to the 4 screws that hold the binnacle in place once removed release speedo cable from its plastic clip in engine bay this will allow you to gently pull binnacle forward and easily gey to the offending bulb. If you want to remove printed circuit squeeze the white plastic head on speedo cable and pull out of dash remove multi plug in centre and undo oil pressure pipe not forgetting to release indicator stalk then complete binnacle should be free.
