hi vernon,gareth thanks for all your help .....spoke with stewart at restore a ford yesterday as you said really nice guy......the decals hes got at present are a new supply and has not fitted any as yet but he will be fitting them in 2weeks or so and if correct will order them in bulk as he has had quite a few enquiries ......regards paint and finishes im pleased to here that lots of you have taken different paths and choices ..as i didnt want to bring my car out and every one pull it apart saying this is wrong thats wrong etc.etc. but i suppose they have all been personaliesd over the past 30 or so years regards pictures guys you will have to bear with me as im hopeless on computer and dont know what im doing half the time but i will get someone to helpme and get some on soon ....regards shows i would like to make some this year im hoping xgc ..will be done for comb but i aint rushing it and i can always come in ghu.... thanks again guys regards john ps im going to peck your heads over next couple of months as ive got so many questions i need answers to ha!ha!

hi gareth sorry didnt answer your question regards dennis ! yes mate ..it was dennis sellers....i would like to speak with him one day regards his car but no one seems to have a recent number for him that i have spoken to if anyone knows how i can contact him ..i would most pleased regards john

John, I'm interested to see how the new decals come out as well. My other capri will be going down to Stuarts for new stripes, so hopefully I can take a nosey and see how they look!
Darin, I'm going to totally strip my RS and send it to Stuart at restore a ford. the plan is that it's soda blasted and we then see what needs doing. I know it looks ok, but it's showing it's age and there are some areas I want sortinng out. Big project, but run of the mill for you and your bevy of beuties!

From my experience, those that pull our cars apart for having incorrect finishes are people that don't and often have never owned an RS3100.
I've heard of some owners quietly listen to the critism and then ask that person if he can look at their car and see what faults it has!
If any one does pick fault with my car it is usually the rabble that post here because they are jealous and we take the P155 out of each other at most shows ;D
I haven't spoken to Dennis for about 5 years now and back then he had the same contact details as he had back in 1990 when he and Phil Boot rescued my car from a Birmingham lock up where it had resided for at least 10 years! He got a bargain, only paying £1000 for it! When I did speak to him years ago, he still had no computer so it was a case of snail mail or pick up a phone.
Last I heard he was completly out of the RS3100 scene and sold all his parts and is now a fan of the Mazda RX7. Since I last spoke with him, he may have come back in to the fold.

cheers gareth...evryone i know who has known dennis or has had phone numbers for him say they have not heard from him for some time and they have tried phoning him with no response he either does not want to get in touch or changed his number may be one i might get to speek with him ...hopefully when he hears his car is back out and about..... regards your car gareth it would be great to have alook at it sometime if poss ....just to help me along with mine regards john

hi guys spoke with stuart at restore a ford today regards decals and hes said hes not happy with the back end decals ....so the guy who makes them is making more so it will be next week before we know if they are any good for us ....regards john
