Morning All...looking to replace the front headlights units on YNP...It is Lucas units that are on her but unsure if they are standard, they are not sealed beam units, they do look very similar to mk3 lamps judging by the three locating lugs on the rear of the bowl...anyone know of a source for replacements???....thanks again

Hi Graeme, they should be Lucas lamps complete with Halogen bulbs, the Mk3 units are Hella and are flat fronts as opposed the the domed original units.
I doubt very much that you will come accross a new set of genuine items( same as Mk3 cortina GXL/ early GT) , if you do be prepared to spend a lot of money an alternative is to look on E-Bay for Triumph Stag units many of these will have the white halogen sticker on the face as per the original they are slightly different both front and rear but they will fit and will be a lot cheaper ( they are of course Lucas items)

Rimmerbros do a whole range of parts for the Stag including the lighths and my understanding is that they pretty much have these in stock. www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID005325Prices are about £20 per unit or £50 per unit if you go for the uprated ones. Or you can get a set of 4 for £93 but unsure if these are standard or uprated. I think the prices are quite reasonable, so likely to get a set of LHD units if I have to move out to Belgium. |
