Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows the whereabouts of a diamond white RS3100, RCD 48M . It was sold through Bonhams auctioneers at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2008 I believe.
Wondered if it was still about in this country as a member of my family used to own it.
Thanks.

Yes mate its still in existence. It went from wiltshire and is now in the malmsbury area. If you look back at past posts on this forum you will see that there are pics of the car at the oxford show from last year. Hope this helps. Thanks darin

Great, saw the pictures. It was nice to see her as I caught the Capri and RS bug from that car as a kid! The now owner must have either bought it off my relative or the next owner as I think it moved about before being sold. I can (just) remember the restoration being finished years ago. Want to buy a 3100 in years to come, maybe this one if she ever moves on again. ;D

Hi Dave , would your relative be Nick Toomer who lived in Gilingham as he was the gent that restored/owned RCD for many years.

You got it, did you know of it when he had it becuase I don't think it used to go far with it. He used to have a load of spares - some rare, for her that he bought from different places when he saw them. Don't know what happened to them. Can anyone come to watch the RS event at Castle Combe in July or is it bring a car only?
Thanks.

Yes I knew Nick very well and at the time that Nick was restoring the car, all of the spares I believe were sold to a dealer in the Southampton area, by all means come along to Castle Combe as long as the weather is not awful RCD will almost certainly be there. Regards Len
