RS3100 Tee-Shirts

Right then, listen up folks.

I don't know if any of you saw the very nice Mk1 Escort RS2000 tee-shirts plugged in July's edition of Classic Ford, produced by a firm called PetrolThreads?

I got on to them and asked if it was possible to do something along the same lines for our cars.

Peter who runs PetrolThreads was very interested and I sent him some photo's for consideration. His view was that the best way forward would be to initially produce a shirt depicting a racing RS3100. And thus we now have the following...

I think you'll agree it looks very fine indeed.

Now then, since then I have sort of convinced him that there is scope to do a special edition road-going version in each of the seven colours of our cars. If you look at the RS2000 shirt in Olympic Blue...

they will have an arty look along those lines, but using as a base, tee-shirts in colours as close to our seven paint colours as is possible.

So now it's down to you lot to let me know if you're interested. They should be the same £20 delivered to your door as his other range, but of course they will effectively be made to order, so it's really a case of Peter knowing that there is enough initial interest to justify the outlay for the artwork and to order the colours in.

I'm hoping that some of you will, like me, buy them in several colours, and of course we know that those with white cars will be buying red shirts because that's the colour they really wanted...

So... to kick-start the idea it's all down to you guys and gals to post me some feedback here please. I think they'll look great, and will hopefully also sell further afield once we get them established.

Hi Mike, I would have one in that beautiful red colour please, I feel that you have made a grave error talking the guy into making them in 7 colours now really who is going to be daft enough to buy a white one??
On a more serious note Mike could you please send a private mail to the following Vernon, Gareth, Darin and John Parry they have all contacted me saying that they are desperate to buy a red t shirt but are just too embarassed to post it on here

I'll be having words with Gareth! I'm sure he'll be very comfortable sleeping under his car! I'll have you know I have lots of imaginary friends! None of then ever give me a hand on my car though! I didn't want a green shirt because I know Phil will more than likely buy the lot. He'll want to be wearing one every day I suspect! I know he's too shy to ask, but do they do similar designed 'Y' fronts?

well, when he was at the bar, slightly enebriated, he said he likes to go for twins if he can, but he said he didn't get the chance very often. I assumed he was talking about 'Y' fronts and 'T' shirts, right?

I just got an email today from Petrol Threads re the new Capri design, well done. I already have the Mk2 Escort, Mk1 Cortina and Stratos shirts; they're great!

I'll definitely be a buyer for a few shirts featuring a standard car, maybe even one in white!
