Hi Len, is there anything that needs to be done before you can value our cars? I'm sure some mention was made of some sort of check (HPI?) before you can do this? I've posted this generally, as other owners may not know. I'm probably the only one though. Thanks! Vernon

Hi Vernon, you are correct mate if I have not previously done a valuation on your car then you need get a HPI check done, contact Emma the club administrator, she will supply you with all the info you need and can accept payment by card, both the owner and I will then receive copies of the HPI report I can then do your valuation. I know it seems a bit of a waste of time as I know most of you guys but it is more to protect the Registrars of the more modern cars and in all fairness if some members have to go down this route so should all. Once I have done a valuation on your car there is no need to go down the HPI route again as long as you own the vehicle but please remember you must be an RSOC member before I can help you. Finally Vernon could you please pm me your address again my filing clerk has mislaid it ( me being a total numpty has lost it again). Cheers Len.

Thanks Len, I'm just going to put a new starter in the old girl and book an MOT for any day now. This could all go horribly wrong!

No No No what sort of attitude is that? even though it is white it will still fly through the MOT, they will probably be lenient so as it is not in there too long I guess they have a reputation to uphold

well, the new starter is in and it seems fine, so we will see. I took the old girl out for a run just to test he starter...he he he...and everything seemed to be fine, so I'm booked in for Monday. Seems to be running very well and it was great to get out in the glorious sun today.

well, the news is bad. The old girl passed, so I'll be coming to coombe. Sorry lads, you'll have to put up with me again! She had 3 advisories. Drivers seat belt old Passenger seat belt old Oil leak. I guess they have to say something when they get an old banger in, huh? Still, lets face it, if it had been Phil, there would have been a fourth advisery: Driver old! So with an MOT, I'll be looking for at least another 10 grand on my valuation, right Len?

My car too has passed the MOT with NO advisories, so hopefully this doesn't mean I have a Mk3 mascarading as an RS?
Had to renew my club membership as it was due to expire 2 days before the show, so I should be OK for a proper valuation.

Good news Gareth. Ignore the 'Capri 1.3L' on the log book. They just got the numbers wrong! Yep, I had to renew my membership as well, but I'm all set. I wonder how many 47 grand cars will turn up then?!?!?!?
