hi everyone.
i run a ford show here in northern ireland called the causeway coast ford fair.its been running now for 5 years and this year our sixth we are putting on a display of rs models to celebrate 40 yrs of the brand.we are sponsored by ford retail and have about 400 classic cars on display.i require a capri rs2600 to complete the display.can anyone tell me if there is any registered in ni or would anyone consider bring their's to the show.the show is on sunday 6th june at the dunluce centre in portrush in the north of the province.you can look at the show on our website www.causewayfordfair.co.uk.

Hi folks,

Further to Tony's message, as I mentioned earlier in the year on this forum, if all goes to plan I'll be taking WGW up from Surrey and across to NI for this event.

I spoke with Tony only yesterday and was delighted to accept an invitation for WGW to appear on Lindsay Ford's own special RS Anniversary display stand.

Be great if a few more of you can head across too. Judging by previous Retro Ford / Classic Ford coverage it looks to be a terrific event, and as a regular visitor to NI anyway - in fact this trip will be my 20th - trust me, the scenery in this region is simply stunning, the roads great, and the folk always welcoming. And very heavily into their fast Fords.

If I'm with a vehicle rather than flying, I generally travel across with Norfolk Line from Birkenhead as they ship all my buses back from Belfast. It's then around a 60 mile pleasurable drive up to the Portrush area where a welcoming guest house can be found, and the lure of the excellent Harbour Bistro and a rack of Guinness beckons.

So please give it some thought. You won't regret it!

Thanks Mike for the endorsement.It would be fantastic if some more of the rs capri's came over.I only need a RS2600 to complete the display and it would be a shame if that was the only one missing.Not yet released to the press we have confirmed that Jarri-matti latvala Ford's wrc driver fresh from his win in New Zealand,and Chris Hayden Chairman and CEO of Ford Retail,will be attending.Retro-Ford have confirmed as well.Hope that we will see more visitors and more fords to the show from the mainland and maybe a RSCAPRI club stand.Everyone is very welcome.
