Hi John, I would think you would need a pre facelift deflector there were 3 different panels used one from Aug 1969 to Oct 1971, then from Oct 1971 to Aug 1972 and finally Aug 1972 onwards, the only facelift panel that will be similar is a German one they generally have a half round pressing around three sides to add strength. Facelift British panel Facelift German panel From memory I think the latter is more like the item used on a 3000E see pic below looks like the corners are not cut off as in the German item but it is still a flat panel turned up at the radiator edge and with the pressing around it I would have thought the same as your old Teal Blue car John but depending on month/ year as previously mentioned. Regards Len. P.S. have you found me any more RS3100's yet mate?

Hi John, I would agree with you looks like a facelift item to me, I have never seen one of those on a pre facelift car let alone one built 9 months before that model ended try sending Mick Morgan an e-mail at mk1mick@tiscali.co.uk he may be able to help you, I have come across the lower stone guard in both hardboard and steel. The only time I have seen a deflector panel in hardboard was on a Ford Photo generally taken of pre production cars. Regards Len.
