Hi len, I cam across an article in an AVO club magazine about the rebuilding of RPU 656M. I don't know if the owner still has the car, but it looks like while RPU was being restored, he bought two other RS3100's, one being TEC 147M and the other one being TJB 460M. It looks like the gentleman owned TJB for around a year and bought it in a non running condtion due to bearing failure. During this year, he 'purloined' as he put it, parts from TJB for RPU . I think I'm going to have to look very closely at your car at castle coombe! hmmmm

Hi Vernon, yes Andy Smith did own the 3 cars that you mentioned I knew him quite well he sold RPU many years ago but the new owner does not seem interested in bringing the car out. Andy also told me that he took the rear spoiler off one of them to use I also have receipts of an engine rebuild for TJB back in the late 80,s. I,m not too keen on you having a real close look at Combe as I really would like to be able to drive the car back home after the show and with your reputation I am concerned there may not be much left. I have started calling a few with regards to the show can I count on you bring TBL along. Cheers Len

Hi len, I have yet to clear the show schedule with 'The Boss', but this show is my top priority, so assuming the MOT is fine, I'll be bringining TBL along. When I do the rebuild, I'm going to have MOT time much later in the year! I really don't know where my reputation comes from. You know, Phil never did mis his front callipers! Shows you how much he uses his brakes! It's a shame about RPU, as I have a magazime article on the restoration and it looked superb. Shame really, but hey, at least we all get out and about now and again!

We have a new house, which looks like a building site, a new baby that looks like an err baby and doesn't stop crying (4 weeks old and counting), so I have a few issues to deal with! Mind you, I can't hear the baby from the workshop, so it's not all bad!
