Hi Len, i'm in need of offside and nearside half shaft bearing's for Ron's RS, my local factor list's them but ask's wether the car has a cologne axle, or a banjo axle, i'm led to believe english built Capri's had Banjo, and German built Capri's have Cologne axle's???
Would you know which one the RS3100's have, as the bearing's listed are different for each choice, or do you know of any specific part number's??
Thanks
Tony.

Hi Tony, good to hear from you there are two types of axle Banjo which is front loading ie the diff unbolts from the front and salisbury as on the RS3100 and all 3000 models plus others where the diff comes out from the rear I have checked the Ford part numbers and it would appear that all Salisbury axles no matter what ratio or model itis fitted to use the same half shaft bearings including the German cars ( my 2 cars are the same). The part number for the bearing is 70EG 1225 A2A finis code 1509809 for GB from Nov 1968 onwards replaced by 70EG 1225 A1A finis code 1507845 which is the German part number from Dec 1968 onwards. The retaining rings are part number 11 714039 finis code 0714039. If you get no luck let me know I will try at the bearing compnay we used, whilst on the topic of RS capri's wil we have the pleasure of yours and Ron's company again this year at Castle Combe Sat Julu 3rd Regards Len
