Hi all, it has been confirmed by the new owner that the RS2600 remains in the UK despite many bids from overseas, the new owner also currently owns 2 RS3100,s, I have also been told that the Sebring Red car that was for sale in Australia has been bought by a gent from our shores the asking price was 30k believe he may also have bought the Stardust Silver car for 22.5k.

30k, 22.5k, there sure is some big money spent on these cars, huh? I get the feeling if we sold our cars, we couldn't afford to buy them back again in a few years! Interesting that the red car is coming back from Australia. that will put some miles on it!
I'm surprised at the interest from overseas (I guess Europe) in the RS2600, given there are a lot more over there than here. But then again, I believe they are highly collectible/desirable there as well.

It seems strange that the red RS from Australia sold so low (compared to it's original asking price).
The last advertised price in Australia for the red RS3100 (if it's the one sold from Classic Throttle Shop) was $70k Aus, which equates to just over 40k GBP at the current exchange rate. It would surprise me if the new owner paid 30k GBP (around $52k Aus) as it took 18 months for the price at Classic Throttle Shop to drop from $75k Aus to $70k, and the car may have sold here if they dropped the price to $55k Aus.
In regards to RS3100's from Australia, does anyone know if the Olympic Blue car sold at auction a couple of years ago ever made it over to it's UK buyer?
Cheers
Jamie
