Thought I'd give you a quick update on the RS2600. Traced the lumpy running to a combination of the Distributor and HT leads (which were well past their sell by date) so upgraded to a H&H Electronic ignition, a missing breather pipe (!!) and the Kugelfischer being incorrectly set up. She now starts first time, ticks over beautifully and drives well. I still think it could do with a tad more advance above 3000RPM but I am being seriously picky. Oil pressure, Amps, Water Temp are exactly where they should be! Swapped the French lights for clear ones and have treated the old girl to run to a 30 mile warm up run which she completed trouble free and with no leaks / and only minor squeaks as the rubbers settle.. I just knew she had to be a good one looking at the condition of the rest of the car and luckily she is.

Yes Len - Looks completely standard. Lee at H&H gets regular business from 2600 owners in Germany and knew immediately what I had and how to improve it. Works great...

I cannot beleive it's close to 4 years since I bought the RS2600. Since acquiring it I've done close to 3000KM mainly on The Isle of Man where I live and can say that the car continues to be a joy to own. I have been so lucky with the advice I have managed to gleen from Len and the community at large in sourcing parts and selecting the right partners to whom I could confidently entrust the car. The results speak for themselves and whilst the Duck Tail spoiler may not be appropriate from a purist stand-point (it's an original Ford part by the way and fear not, the original boot lid is safely put away), I love it. If I would have been driving around in 1973 in an RS2600 and saw an RS3100 with the Duck Tail Spoiler I would have immediately ordered one from my local RS dealer and fitted it. It has also provided MUCH needed stability on the famous TT course which was missing. So the car is pretty much complete and I hope to attend Classic Le Mans and a few other events in it in 2018 so hopefully will see you in the summer.

Looking good! Must get my 3100 done! Isle of man! must get over there, but it would be a tough choice, RS3100 or my motorcycle!
