My cousin asked me to put a few pics of ORG410M which he bought last week.The car had been in Orkney since the mid 70s and has been off the road since 1980/81.It passed through a few hands in Orkney and was widely known about up here in the North Highlands.
Here is the car in the RSOC magazine from 1991.
About to start its journey back to the mainland.The last owner had it for about 13 years and had a lot of welding and body repairs done to it but it has sat for the last 10 years untouched.
The car is pretty solid and most of the important parts are there - its going to be blasted first to see whats what.The car had only done 41575 miles from new.
My cousin runs his own garage and does all his own restorations including spraying , mechanicals electrics.Here are a few of his previous restorations.
He has been in contact with a couple of members on here and I will put up some more pics as the restoration progresses and any comments , recommendations or tips would be welcome.
