I think you might have to do sme grinding as it says for '69-'73. The pre-facelift exhausts had the brackets welded on so a load of rubbers went on these and held it the the car. Facelift exhausts have clamps instead round the exhaust and rubbers go from these to the body. This is my Larini system fitted in October 2004. Unlike most stainless systems it doesn't sound tinny because the same gauge stainless is used as steel woud have been in the original so it is quite heavy compared to most stainless systems.

Still every intention of being at Catton Hall on Sunday. The car should be finished, just cleaning some of the muck off as I haven't really cleaned the car for the past two years except pretty much for a damp cloth and a chamois to remove the dust Just bring some gloves so you don't get the paint dirty ;D

The earliest system was a smaller bore, after this a systems were the same bore but the later was affixed as gareth has said using brackets around the silencers, there is also another hiccup as the pipe coming from the rear silencer to join the cross over pipe varied in length so in theory you could get 2 different cross over pipes and 2 back boxes with different length pipes coming out the rear resulting in modification albeit not a massive job. Len.

I was lucky with the cross overpipe that came with the original exhaust I have in that it was the correct bore for the rest of the system, just abit too long. No real problem as only had to remove a bit of metal and bend the pipe from the back box a bit so that it lined up better. It isn't 100% aligned, but close enough. Vernon, I am shifting the old dust to your magic pixie dust has a better chance of doing its job in June ;D Hopefully before that more pictures of my car should have been taken for a little something special I have been asked to take part in
