Try Bigg Red in Worcester, 01905 428793, they do a full refurbishment service and give them the gold electroplate finish. They also do repair kits so you can do some of the work yourself. I know a fe of the Escort boys who are pleased with the results and when I have spoken to these guys at the NEC, they have said they can do non-standard items. Mental block at the moment and cant remeber if the calipers for our cars are standard Capri GT items but with a spacer to fit over the vented discs that were on our cars. I know someone here will put me out of my misery plus let us know the answer to the caliper question

RS3100 calipers are Teves items as used on Mk1 Granadas with vented discs, I believe M16 are RS2000 etc. RScapriman

Hi John... Im only saying this because I overhauled my calipers as part of doing all the front suspension over the Winter and they are definitly not m16. The helpfull guy from brakes int. told me they were exclusive to RS3100(Possibly RS2600) and Mk1 Granada!...he told me I was buying the last set of pads they could get their hands on and advised keeping any old ones to get re-lined!!!...I ordered standard 3 litre from E-bay and they were similar but would not fit!....still trying to find a shim kit!....if your looking for new cross pins I think it was escort cosworth he supplied, they just need a tiny bit of alteration..hope this helps ...Graeme

Hi, the calipers would be a yellow passivate finish, the pads I believe are also the same as an Audi 80 or 90 will check on this, I may have a genuine pin and clip set but would have to check the pins are different as they do not use the conventional small "R" clips to hold them in place they have a spring clip built into them. The calipers were used on the facelift RS2600, RS3100, Mk1 Granada (with vented discs some had solid discs) and all genuine "X" pack Mk3 capri's all of which unfortunately are as rare as hens teeth.
