Hi Graeme, I habe seen new RS3100 alloys that have been slightlty different shades, I normally use Ford Graphite Grey you should be able to get the code for this at any paint shop, If you get any problems I will ask my painter for you. Regards Len

I assume with regards Graphite you're talking about the inserts Len? I also seem to recall the wheels varying when new, with various combinations of Silver (mostly) or Gunmetal, with Black (mostly) or Graphite inserts. And there are certainly a few variations done by owners on the surviving cars. But which can be considered to be the definitive?!

Cheers Guys! i do like the lighter silver in the spokes as it seems to really freshen the wheel up but i believe the darker shades is the correct one....

The definitive colour for me is the shade of grey on the spare that I have delivered to me still in its Ford box and having never been fitted to a car. When my wheels get refurbished, I'll be asking them to match to colour to NOS item.
Regading posting pictures, get an account with the likes of Photobucket.com (most are free) and upload your pictures. Then just copy the URL that has img in square brackets and past it into your post.
Simples.

When new the wheels would be machined and lacquered spokes and rims with a metalic grey inserts and rear of the the wheels, as said before the colour of the inserts did vary slightly so I think a shade of Graphite Grey would be as close as any, I also had the colour of my spare wheel on the RS2600 matched as it has not been on the road and it may be a tad lighter than the aerosol cans of Ford Graphite Grey followed by lacquer that I did the RS3100 with but not a massive difference. With regard to posting the easiest way as Gareth said is to open a photobucket account, upload any pic on to it then simply copy and paste. Len
