Now that my exams are over and I don't go back to college until April, now it is my turn to join in the fun.
1) Cortina 2) All cars had to be fitted with inertia safety belts, head restraints, doors mirrors (Ford Falcon) these mirrors were black finish as were the windscreen wipers to comply with the Anti Dazzle Law.
Other additions were decals on both front and rear spoilers reading RS3100 the front reading in reverse. Under the bonnet was fitment of a carbon canister to capture fuel vapour from the carburettor and fuel tank for control of vehicle emissions, on July 1st 1976 this rule changed to ADR27a which called for more pollution controlling devices to be fitted to vehicles.
3) VYJ389M was originally Sebring Red, commonly known as burnt orange DWA324N Daytona Yellow XYW585N Modena Green 4) Frankani and Hella 5) PVX464M is now OOO744 was originally Diamond White and once owned by Sir Jimmy Saville who made the changes.

Geez, I have a LOT to learn still - I bow to you guys' superior knowledge.
So VYJ's original colour is Sebring then? I have known that car for a lot of years and always coveted it due to its Modena hue - won't be the same now that I know it was that Red colour when new ;D

Lets have another go ;D
1) The front number plate bracket part number is is 3014E 17736A (finis Code 1403301) and as E on the VIN plate means Capri, I am going to say the RS2600 because it is the earliest reference I can find to it. 2) All cars had to be fitted with inertia safety belts, head restraints, doors mirrors (Ford Falcon) these mirrors were black finish as were the windscreen wipers to comply with the Anti Dazzle Law.
Other additions were decals on both front and rear spoilers reading RS3100 the front reading in reverse. Ok, I'd better have a go too then.
1. Yep, Mk2 Cortina
2. Door mirrors, head-rests, matt black wiper arms, inertia seat belts
3. All of them? VYJ was red, DWA yellow, XYW silver I think.
4. As the others have said, Hella and Frankani
5. OOO 744 which was white. But does it still survive?
