Yes you've guessed it another pale RS3100 for sale this time at Goodwood auction SYH 66N was painted Marine Blue over White many years ago and ran triples was in the souhampton area at the time, then went to Liverpool where it was restored some years later, Obviously worth far less now that the Marine Blue has been removed.

Well, after scouring the internet for minutes, literally, I see the olympic blue RS2600 will be up for sale at the Bonhams auction at Goodwood, but no sign of the RS3100. Obviosuly, somone had heard this was the best colour and snaped it up! Will be interesting to see what it goes for!

Obviously slighly embarrased at having such a bland colour at such a prestigious event Well, after scouring the internet for minutes, literally, I see the olympic blue RS2600 will be up for sale at the Bonhams auction at Goodwood, but no sign of the RS3100. That looks very nice....I see they say "This very special example has also featured in Classic Ford magazine as well as a number of club events including the Capri 40th Anniversary at Brooklands this year." I must have missed the 40th anniversary this year, although I did go to last years one. Anyone see this car there? maybe it was around the back or something. I'll also have to check my archives of classic ford as well, as I don't remember seeing it there either. Although of course I could be losing it! I wonder what club events it went to? Maybe the Morris marina owners club? Mike, Oragnge is how they pronounce Orange in Gareths part of the world. You should see the look you get if you go to a local market and as for an 'Orange'. They look at you as if you've come from mars! 'Good' is actually pronounced 'bad', 'nice' is pronounce 'wicked' and complementing someones car is pronounce 'biggin' it up'. ;D

In Gareths case he may well have come from Marsnge, you probably missed it Vernon cos its doubtful anything that boring a colour would have been on show even at a Morris Marinas outing

I was at the Morris Marina do, and it wasn't there either. But then nor were any other cars! Oh, no, hang on, sorry that was a Morris Dancing do. By the way, thanks for bringing your pole Len...
Now then all you sad 70's crankcases. So who remembers the Morris Marina Jubilee then? And if so, what was the spec?
Come to think of it, that's a great question for the next Ockley village quiz...
MN
PS. Stanford Hall's a week on Sunday. Christ, I'd better get that Diaper White paint job finished!

I had every confidence in you getting that one right Len. Let's face it - you're even more disturbed than me!!!
Not seen one in donkeys years, but I gather there is a restored Jubilee which attends car shows in darkest Cornwall.
A friend of my dad's had an Oxford registered K-plate TC saloon from new in a most unusual solid turquiose colour. He ran it for years and kept it spotless, and it actually sounded quite rorty and went pretty well too - until you came to a bend. Funny the things that suddenly come back into ones memory. In a strange way I kind of hope it might have survived!

well, the omnly experience I've had with a morris marina was when an ex of my sisters had one...he filled the sills with concrete to pass the MOT. It worked as well! Mind you, the car wasn't long for this world afterwards. And yes, he was a a bit of an idiot, but had some pretty funny stories, generally based around the stupid stuff he had done!
British design and engineering at it's peak......oh hang on, the graph is upside down!
Diaper white? I think you'll find we call it nappy white old boy, what?
The nappies around here arn't exactly white though....not when I take them off anyway.
Now go and wash the carrot mobile.
