That's a bit odd then, back up for sale again straight away, and now it's on the other side of the country!
Can't see there being much of a profit to make if it's just sold at £15k?

So what's wrong with it?? I do not understand why someone would only keep the car a couple of weeks and then sell it. Anyone know??

It's so obvious now I think about it. The owner really wanted a RED one, and now realises he will never be happy with second best!!!
After all, if Len says the red ones are faster, then it must be true...

"if lens says it's faster it must be true"
Uh huh. That's why the racing capris were red, right?
Very stange though..I believ that one is a very nice car, but i've not looked closely at it. Len would know though!

lucky for you guys that they were painted blue and white cos if they had painted the RS2600 red they would have been unbeaten and there would of been no need to build the RS3100

HELLS BELLS I cannot believe it made £22,450 that is a huge shock, a very nice car but I personally would not have valued it at over 16k. RScapriman

Len I am amazed! I had no faith in it going above £17k5 which was £1500 over what I thought it was worth. Somebody REALLY wanted that car - Good luck to the new owner.

Oh why didn't I think to stockpile the things in the 80's when they were only making £200 - £500 a piece.
I could have sold them all this year and cleared off from our pothole-ridden rapidly disintergrating nation to another pothole-ridden country, but one with warm winters. Malta!
Wonder when we'll next see ROW 131M then?

That is pretty impressive, but such is ebay. If you get two determined bidders with deep pockets, that's what happens! I guess the question is, does this generally up the value of our cars, or is it more of a blip? I think the later, as I doubt that car would make 22k if it came up again...but hey, who knows?
Sounds like Mike has a thing for Malta! I only went there for the first time last year. It was nice. Taxi drivers are nutters though, but they do have a thriving old ford scene there and they have a very kind climate to our old tin!
